Reviews and discusses, in depth, historic and current publications in the field of molecular biology. Required of departmental students concurrently enrolled in ME 260.800, Molecular Biology.
1. Critically evaluate scientific literature in Molecular Biology, beginning with classic papers and ending with more recent advancements. 2. Assess a wide variety of experimental strategies as they are applied to discover/understand the major events regulating cellular functions. 3. Discuss required readings in depth during class to evaluate the experimental techniques, determine if the conclusions are supported by the evidence and assess their contribution to the advancement of the field.
