Provides an overview of the issues and approaches in the application of environmental health risk assessment, risk management and risk perception/communication concepts to the use of engineered nanomaterials in technology and products.
This course is intended for graduate students with an interest in the application of environmental health risk assessment, risk management and risk perception/communication concepts to the use of engineered nanomaterials in technology and products.
Grading Policy: Grading for the course will be based on the following components: final paper (40%); presentation (35%); and class participation (25%). Class participation will be assessed on both a qualitative and quantitative basis.
Grading Restrictions: Letter grade
